Time to take a new road?

Do you frequently feel a heavy sense of deja vu ?

Do you think you have dealt with a particular issue in your life and then seemingly out of the blue those same old feelings pop up yet again ?

Do you keep on getting stressed by the same sort of person or situation and feel despondent as this time you had really believed you were finally moving on ?

Chapter One

I walk down the street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I fall in.
I am lost… I am helpless.
It isn’t my fault.
It takes forever to find a way out.

Chapter Two

I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I pretend I don’t see it.
I fall in again.
I can’t believe I am in the same place.
But it isn’t my fault.
It still takes a long time to get out.

Chapter Three

I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I see it is there.
I still fall in… it’s a habit.
My eyes are open.
I know where I am.
It is my fault… I get out immediately.

Chapter Four

I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I walk around it.

Which chapter would you say you are in at the moment?

Awareness seems to strike in Chapter 3 and is definitely an important first step in change but awareness in itself is not always a magic wand. This is often the point at which someone will decide to come for hypnotherapy realising that it is their thinking that is the issue and they want some help to change it.

Chapter Four may start to feel like progress but still requires effort and will power both of which can easily fail when your are stressed or tired.




So the aim of hypnotherapy is definitely Chapter Five, helping you find a way to walk down a completely different road. The issue of the hole is then no longer a part of your life. You hardly think those thoughts anymore and if you do they no longer have the same power over you.

Doesn’t that seem like a change you would be interested in experiencing ?
